Why Transformation Management - Process (R)evolution?

The term "transformation" is multifaceted. Here at accilium, we use the term to describe a change in the way people work in larger organizations. The multitude of digital tools, deployed in ever shorter cycles, challenge employees and management alike to continuously adapt processes and workflows. At the same time, cultural aspects are often overlooked by optimized processes and methods.

Without a process model that integrates people, processes and digital tools, it becomes increasingly difficult for larger organizations to overcome inertia and resistance to change.

Key Questions

  • How do I make the introduction of a digital tool as efficient as possible?
  • How can I address my team's resistance to newly introduced tools?
  • How can I convince my employees to live the new processes with engagement and commitment, thereby increase uptake?
  • How can I increase user acceptance of the new tool?
  • Can I measure progress?

How We Work

Our approach considers people, processes and digital tools simultaneously. Too often, the focus lies only on the digital tool, leaving IT organizations as the sole implementers of change. We implement process transformation projects in collaboration with all relevant departments.

Our process starts with an initiation project with a small team. At this stage, it is important to define objectives, as well as small, realistic steps to the final vision. This provides the basis for project and resource planning.

Next, we use lessons learned from the initiation project to begin stakeholder communication and initiate the pilot.

In small teams, we work directly with the future users on the processes and methods. Based on the scrum methodology, we use fixed sprints in which we redesign process selections and methods. We encourage teams to work together across hierarchical and departmental boundaries.

The targets defined at the outset of the project give us a benchmark against which to measure progress. Active participation of those who work according to the new processes and methods create the necessary acceptance and understanding.

What We Deliver

We provide all the necessary elements for successful transformation. This includes planning a tailor-made approach, engaging the required stakeholders, planning the agile workstream and the rollout. On request, accilium can also assume operational responsibility of the Transformation Management Office (TMO), leading the agile teams in process design and rollout, while coaching management.
